II. Reports
  1. Recorder, per Fra Lavatai
    1. If SVAGoSAM is going to organize and sponsor a swimming pool/BBQ event, at the SJSU Aquatic Center, then we will have to pay the Special Event Fees because Sigma Alpha Mu Fraternity and SVAGoSAM ARE NOT recognized as ACTIVE SJSU student organizations.
    2. Since the summer session is a busy time for the SJSU Aquatic Center, ONLY 3 hours are available for SVAGoSAM events.
    3. SVAGoSAM would have to apply for Special Event Insurance provided by an Insurance Underwriter's company (contracted by SJSU Risk Management). The estimated and tentative fees range from $150 and Up.
    4. I strongly recommend that SVAGoSAM seek another venue to hold our
      summer 2001 swimming pool/BBQ events.
