Order of Business:
1. Exchequer Report: Mark Davis
- Give me your money.
- Fra Davis is in the process of setting up a checking account with Great Western.
- Questions were asked re: who will be signing on the account; how much is needed to open the account; where will the statements be mailed; when will a billing system be established.
- Fra Davis said the account should be in place by the next meeting.
- Memebers agreed to pay their dues (for March) at the next meeting.
2. There was no IFC report or Secretary report
3. RUSH REPORT:
- Fra Mark Snow and Fra Stu Lavatai: "2.97 SAMMYS" can beat-up any 2-month old puppy! A fact.
- Fra Snow mentioned that he is on a committee with the American Heart Association to do some publicity work during EARTH DAY, April 21, 22.
- He said that he could ge the Sammy Logo on posters and T-shirts.
- There was a movie planned during this time that could be used in conjuction with "Stormin' the Dorms"
- Discussion of incorporating "Bounce-for-Beats" fund-raiser with the AHA.
- Fra Macabeo request more information and phone numbers from Fra Snow.
- Fra Davis suggested going to a Shark's game before the season ended--using the game as a rush function.
- Fra Burke mentioned that Fra Contreras (famous lap dancer) would be sending Rush material from national.
- He also said that the Fraternity should create business cards to hand out.
- The Chapter should also take a look at the Rush video being also being sent by Fra Contreras.
- Fra Burke also said that Sigma Alpha Mu's first female pledge could not make it to the meeting becaue she had to do the late-nite dance at the Brass Rail.
4. SOCIAL REPORT: Fra Burke
Conversation with the omniscient Murple:
- Murple said that in order to get as many active poon-tang active (not a quote) to go to the 35th Bash, he is discounting the price for active members.
- Murple also offered actives work (trabajar mucho)--for themselves or the chapter
- Murple said that the $110 offer has been extended until March 14th for Alumni--get the word out.
- Murple said HE NEEDS HELP WITH THE 35TH. CALL HIM!
- Murple also said "What's a Homepage?" (accurate quote)
5. FUNDRAISING REPORT: Fra Burke & Fra Courtney
- T-SHIRTS FROM HELL: Fra Courtney will design. A discussion to include nicknames on the back and logo on the front. We want Murple, Frog, Bear, and Seagull to go on the top!
- Fra Courtney said that he would have sketches by the next meeting.
- Fra Burke suggested that estimates be obtained from different printers (nobody listened).
6. NEW Business:
- Fra Davis said that he wants to sell the chapter pool table and coke machine. They are currently being stored.
- Word out: Anyone need a cum-stained (a Larry Berman term) pool table or a rightious coke machine contact a chapter member.
7. ANNOUNCEMENTS
- Fra Burke handed out memos to the chapter meeting that remined them that MARCH 17th, Saint Patrick's Day will be the Risk Management presentation by Fra Lavatai.
- He also mentioned that the ENTIRE CHAPTER should be there--Guadalupe Room 9:00pm; Fras López and McFadden were sent memos.
- Bay Meadows--free for students on Friday--$1 beers and hot dogs...you can take the train.
- Evil Stanford, March 11th. SJSU is #1 in the WAC.
- Boogie Nights at Towne 3 (check ad in the Spartan Daily). John Holmes in 3-D.
- Send all hate e-mail to Stu--it fires him up.
- Cancelled: The panty raid on the Theta Chi house has been cancelled. (old Playboy cartoon)
